by Elbert Hubbard

1905, 1906 and 1908 variants

The 1905 and 1906 books both measure  8" x 5" and have 120 and 111 pages respectively. The 1908 version measures 7" x 4 3/4" and has 121 pages. The 1908 version has no colophon but it does have a colored picture of Jesus by Gaspard as a frontis piece. The 1908 suede variant is not listed in McKenna. Interestingly, the title page decoration was originally used in the 1906 Man of Sorrows and was also used in My Dreams from 1911 and Jesus, A Sisters Memories from 1934.
