The Last Ride

by Robert Browning, 1900

Note: #31 of 50, probable Louis Herman Kinder binding.

The book and its variants are approximately 7 3/4" x 5 1/4" and have 10 French folded pages. The text body is set in Monotype 16E. 940 copies of this book were printed on Roycroft handmade paper with a suede binding or paper over boards with a Vellum spine and corners. Additionally, 940 copies were made with a full vellum binding and pages, with cloth ties. Fifty copies were done in full Vellum with various covers including modeled leather and 3/4 leather (as depicted above). Twenty five copies were bound in full Levant or modeled leather with classic Vellum pages. The example above is believed to be the bindery work of Louis Herman Kinder.
