As It Seems To Me

by Elbert Hubbard, 1898

This book measures 8 3/4" x 5 1/2" and has 138 pages. The text body is set in Old Style Antiqua and 920 copies were printed on Boxmoor paper and bound in suede.  There was an edition of 40 copies that was printed on Whatman paper and specially illuminated. Copies 1- 4 of this edition were illumined by W. W. Denslow. The book was also bound in 3/4 and full Levant. The 3/4 variant is shown above, but these were later rebinds done by the Roycrofters. The book was not originally bound this way. Interestingly, copies #1 to 4 of this book were illumined by W. W. Denslow but McKenna noted none had been found for confirmation. The link below will take you to one of them.
