Compensation

by Ralph Waldo Emerson, 1904

The book measures 7 1/2" x 5 3/4" and has 44 pages. The text body is done in Roman Condensed and printed on Boxmoor paper. McKenna states that this book was bound in suede with 100 copies printed on Japan Vellum and bound in 3/4 leather. As can be seen above, this edition is paper over boards. Another unique thing is that the title page lists 1904 as the publishing date, which agrees with McKenna, but on another page the copyright date is stated as 1903. This book was reissued in 1917 as McKenna #247.
