The book measures 8 3/4" x 5 1/2" and has 188 pages. The body of text is Old Style Antiqua and 925 copies were printed on Boxmoor paper and bound in paper over boards with a suede spine. Two cover variants of this book exist, One as seen above, reads The Opium Eater. The other reads, Confessions of an Opium Eater and has three ornaments. The LJM initials seen in the picture above with the date of 1900 are not original to the book and were presumably added by the books owner. This book is listed in the 1899 catalog and sold for $2.00
