This edition of The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam is not listed in McKenna. The colophon date is September 10, 1898. The top copy has no limitation and the only illuminations are the initial letters. The bottom copy is #2 of 40 specially illumined copies. McKenna states that 40 specially illumined copies were advertised in the catalog and attributes those 40 copies to #29 (edition completed November 2, 1898), but they are definitely a separate edition.

The top copy has no limitation statement. The illumination in the bottom copy bears the initials M.G. (Minnie Gardner).

This is the first Roycroft book I have seen with a pen-and-ink drawing. Unfortunately, the drawing is not initialed by the artist.
