This two volume set measures 8" x 5 1/2" and has 582 consecutively numbered pages. The body of the text is set in Caslon Old Style and printed in two colors on unmarked laid paper. The book was bound in paper over boards with a suede spine and corners. The photogravures frontispieces above are of Ruth Crosby and John Brown and are done on Japan Vellum. These books are listed in the 1899 catalog and sold for $3.00 for the boxed set. In the 1900 catalog they were selling for $5.00
