Waht is the Matter With This Country?
By Elbert Hubbard, 1914
This booklet measures 5 1/2" x 4" and has 12 numbered pages. This preachment is basically Elbert Hubbard bashing the U. S. Government for it's continued "irritation of business". Hubbard blames the U. S. Government for high unemployment rates because of the actions it took against United Shoe Machinery Company which allegedly caused the loss of 1500 jobs and Eastman Kodak which allegedly caused the loss of several thousand jobs. Elbert says basically if you attack or try to control big business you are, "Hitting the wage earner, kicking his wife, and cuffing his children." Ah Elbert, he was so enlightened..lol.
